Rangefinder from famous WW2 German cruiser PRINZ EUGEN, consort of the feared battleship BISMARK. Provenance documentation included. This was removed from the ship by the US commander of USS PRINZ EUGEN before the ship was disabled in the Bikini Islands atomic test. The Captain sent it to a friend in the pentagon, whose name and address are stenciled on the lid of the shipping crate. This is apparently the only privately-owned artifact from PRINZ EUGEN. A few other artifacts are in US Navy museums.
